About PBS Metal Detectors

PBS Metal Detectors is the trading name of Business Intelligence International (Pvt) Ltd, a Colombo company that has supplied, installed and serviced inspection and screening equipment in Sri Lanka since 2009.

What we do

Our work falls into two halves. The first protects what a factory makes: metal detectors, X-ray inspection systems, checkweighers, needle detectors and colour sorters on food, tea, spice, coconut, pharmaceutical, garment and plastics production lines. The second protects people and premises: walk-through and handheld metal detectors, X-ray baggage scanners, shoe scanners, mail and parcel scanners, liquid explosive detectors and body scanners for hotels, embassies, security companies and government institutions.

We supply the machine, install it, commission it on your line, train your operators and service it afterwards. One local team does all of it, so there is no handover between a seller and a service agent.

Authorized Techik distributor

PBS is the authorized distributor and service centre for Techik Instrument (Shanghai) in Sri Lanka. That matters for three practical reasons: spare parts come through an official channel, warranty is handled locally instead of by shipping a machine abroad, and our technicians are trained on the equipment they install. We also supply nearby countries.

Our team

PBS has senior technicians in electronics, electrical and mechanical engineering. The same people handle installation, calibration and breakdown callouts. When you call 077 132 3424 you speak to an engineer who knows the equipment, not a call centre.
